City of Vancouver

Development Services administers regulations which apply to development and buildings on private property.

City of Victoria

Prior to starting any stage of your project, including excavation or demolition, you must obtain a building permit.

City of Kelowna

The Inspection Services Division is responsible for administering Building Permits and Plumbing and Heating Permits.

City of Kamloops

A Building Permit is required for any construction, reconstruction, alteration, addition, repair, demolition, relocation or removal of any building or structure. A permit is also required for the installation, alteration, or repair of plumbing.

City of Edmonton

Permit and licence approvals are made based on legislation from the Municipal Government Act, Municipal Bylaws, the Edmonton Zoning Bylaw and the Alberta Building Code.

City of Calgary

The Building Regulations Division is the group responsible for examining plans, issuing permits and performing inspections for new construction and for renovations in the city of Calgary.
