I would like to raise the floating ceiling in a condo unit by approximately 2 feet. There does appear to be room in there to raise it. Is there anything I should keep in mind or be careful of?

Hi there. Thanks for visiting eRenovate.com. If the 2ft is clear of plenums and other conduits, you should have no issues. I am certain that you are aware of this but having dealt with many condo units, it is usual that you will have to get permission from the condo board before making the alteration. Once you have cleared this stage, there should be nothing in your way to complete the work. Happy eRenovating!
