I've heard that a HRV - heat recovery ventilation system is a good thing. Is it a practical addition for my 50 year old house? What are the advantages? Thanks

Welcome to eRenovate.com! I have this question asked all the time. In this part of the world I believe an HRV or ERV should be installed in every house regardless of how old or new the house is. These ventilation systems are capable of "refreshing" the air in your home, contrary to exhaust fans the HRV/ERV will not create a negative pressure in the building and help to control humidity inside the house. Yes, HRVs are a good thing!! Roberto Nieves Valle eRenovate.com's Home Environment Expert Pinnacle Home Environment Systems
