I insulated my basement and have finished it, do I qualify for the grant I finished the project in the summer of 2007

Hi there. Thank you for using eRenovate.com. While it is always good to make energy efficient home improvements, to qualify for the ecoENERGY Retrofit grant, you must follow their steps to qualify. According to step 1 found here http://www.ecoaction.gc.ca/ecoenergy-ecoenergie/index-eng.cfm#5steps you must have an energy evaluation done by a certified auditor before applying for the grant and performing the renovation. That said, there are quite a few items and projects that do qualify for both federal and provincial grants and rebates, so you should investigate them further here http://www.oee.nrcan.gc.ca/residential/personal/retrofit-homes/retrofit-qualify-grant.cfm?attr=4#eligible and here http://www.ec.gc.ca/incitatifs-incentives/index_eng.asp. Happy eRenovating!
